These works are a part of a larger body of work called The Texas Gladiators, featuring American muscle cars and imaginary object configurations as metaphors for God, Jesus, the apostles, and others on either side of the Bible's redemption story. The figures have been translated into nostalgic machines in isolation or some type of narrative space, where there is a sumptuousness to the objects and the subdued activity going on around them.
